Marrakech - the southern oasis town in Morocco with almost 1000 years of history, also has the nickname the “Pearl of the South”.
The city of Marrakech situated in the southwest of Morocco is also called the city of contrasts.
While in the North, the wealthy live in comfortable houses, the West consists mostly of hotels and apartments that are occupied by thousands of tourists every year. In the medina there are the famous palaces, castles and ruins frequently visited by tourists from all over the world. The old part of the city, where the first houses and mosques were built in 1062, attracts more and more people form all over the world, since it has very romantic places and reflects oriental life to the fullest. People feel like in 1001 Nights and simply love the atmosphere in Marrakech.
The Djemaa el Fna square, also called the “square of the beheaded”, attracts tourists and regularly holds events in the evening. Tourists love the oriental flair and city activity and watch the dancers, musicians and storytellers with great enthusiasm. All in all, Marrakech is not too expensive, and visitors are offered great value. The rooms are mostly decorated in a fantastic way and the oriental flair of the city becomes evident even in the early morning.
The oasis city, which is also called “the Pearl of the South”, tempts with its bazaars and its paradise atmosphere, and promises holiday and adventure.
The Menera Gardens are probably the most romantic place in town. Many people come here, simply to enjoy the beauty of the country, and they are impressed by the vast emptiness of the desert. Many foreigners have decided to stay in Marrakech and give the town a certain international atmosphere.
