This is your chance to get into the desert:

Departure in Marrakech via the Tizi N’Tichka pass (2260m), passing the Kasbah’s El Glaoui and Ait Benhaddou via Zagora to Tamegrout or even further to M’hamid. Overnight stay in Tamegrout in the Jnane-Dar Diafa or in M'hamid in the Hotel SaharaSky.
The Dar Diafa is under Moroccon/Swiss and the Hotel SaharaSky under German management.
The Dar Diafa has its own seven camels behind the house and organises short trips into the desert with overnight stays in bivouacs, and also trekking tours “from waterhole to waterhole”.
From the hotel SaharaSky short trips with camels can be organised and also overnight stays in bivouacs.
The distance Marrakech - Tamegrout/M’hamid is about 410 km one-way and takes about seven hours.

How do you get there?
1. You rent a car - we will be glad to organise this for your - and you drive on your own. No problem, the roads are fully developed and there are signposts. The price for a rented car, depending on its size is between 40 and 70 Euro.
2. You take the public bus. This is cheaper (about 15 - 20 Euro), very strenuous, takes a long time.

3. You take the big taxi. Price per day and person: 150 Euro. (20% reduction for three and more persons.) We will be glad to organise this for you.

4. You rent a car (4 x 4) with a driver. Capacity: up to seven persons. Price per day for the car and the driver: 400 Dirhams per person. Minimum number of participants: five persons. We can recommend this, since we have tested the drivers.

Plan at least three days for your desert trip! One day for getting there with a detour to Kasbah’s etc., one or two days stay in Tamegrout or M’hamid and one day for your way back.
