Marrakech
- the southern oasis town in Morocco with almost 1000 years of history
- the “Pearl of the South”
Originally founded by a desert prince, the oasis town situated at
the foot of the High Atlas mountains sprinkled with eternal snow,
has been home to various sultan dynasties and is therefore considered
one of the four royal cities. Numerous wonderful testimonies of old
times can be admired, like the famous tombs of the Saadians, the Kontoubia
mosque with its impressive minaret, Marrakech’s landmark, the
palaces El Bahia and El Badi or the mighty city walls. But Marrakech
is also famous for its wonderful gardens, and a visit to the Menara
and Agdal gardens or to the enchanting Majorelle gardens are absolutely
worthwhile.
We will be glad to supply more information at the hotel riad La Maison
Nomade.
All the attractions of Marrakech can be easily reached from the hotel
riad.
