One of the most magnificent multi-day trips into the surroundings of Marrakech is the road to Taroudant via the small mountain pass Tizi-n-Test. You will also go to Asni via Tahanout, but then you take the road to Ouirgane, passing the Hotel La Roseraie, where it is always worth taking a rest for lunch or for an overnight stay.

We would also like to recommend a break in the Oliveraie (see also our day trip OLIVERAIE >>here<<) since it is located in the middle of a wonderful, spacious olive grove with a large pool.

Then you will go on, pass the artificial lake that provides Marrakech with drinking water, to the Tizi-n-Test pass. Here you will have a wonderful view over the plateau of Taroudant.

At the end of the mountain route, you can decide whether you want to go on in the direction of Taroudant or turn left to Zagora via Talouine (saffron culture) and Tazenakt (centre of carpet trading) to return to Marrakech.
